We want DApps to develop fast – independently from the blockchain platform. To simplify the problem of data-storage issues for their clients we created Casper API.

About CASPER

Casper API is a decentralized application that encrypts a file and distributes it on multiple devices. CST tokens will be used to access data storage services. It is stated that Casper API will “allow cloud storage of data with a higher level of confidentiality, reliability, and flexible options for access control”. The platform aims to become not just a cloud storage service for individual users, but a decentralized storage service for DApps on any blockchain platform. DApps will be able to interact with storage services using smart contracts.

Use of Blockchain

CST is an ERC20 compliant token and is used to access storage services. The protocol with regards to file storage validation is discussed in great detail. The platform will utilize a modified version of IPFS for file storage. Files are encoded in storage units and replicated across multiple devices.
