Talao

Talao is the first Ethereum-based DAO for Talent, which introduces a unique way for users to own their data thanks to a secure digital vault storing their certificates on the blockchain.

About Talao

Talao aims to be a public Ethereum-based decentralized and autonomous platform dedicated to the freelancing talent community. It gives freelancing talent access to a large panel of companies asking for their expertise, enables them to benefit from smart contract-based payments, and allows them to build a strong community-based reputation, thereby aiming to disrupt the traditional working industry by eliminating its middlemen. Talao’s objective is to establish the TALAO token as the token of reference for freelancing talent.
Competitors: Blocklancer, Ethearnal, Capaciti, Upwork, 99designs, Fiverr, Moonlighting, Blok
Uniqueness/Advantages to competition: Leverages blockchain technology to provide a more secure, transparent, and efficient service than tradtional legacy market participants.

Product

Talao is meant to be a blockchain-based ecosystem for the freelance economy. There is currently a publicly accessible github with a repository for the project. The AI integration, beta dev/testing, and full platform launch are planned for after the ICO (see Roadmap). However, the platform is expanding on a legacy platfrom, eMindHub, a web based solution that allows companies working in the Aerospace industry to access experts quickly, efficiently and securely. These experts may be direct employees of companies, researchers, or active retirees. eMindHub allows users to access different communities of experts, grouped in clusters or circles based on skills, geography, etc., or user-related criteria (employees, alumni, partners, etc.).
There is appeal to the Talao product, given the large number of freelancers and clients looking for freelance workers throughout the world, and the potential / target user-base will grow along with the adoption of cryptocurrency in the general population. There is currently a very large amount of legacy competition in this space, and blockchain competition will greatly stiffen over time as adoption continues, given the size of the target market.

Use of Blockchain

Talao is creating a freelance platform and marketplace where participants can use the transparency and security of blockchain technology to buy/sell freelance work services.
The TALAO token is the main medium of transactions on the Talao platform, facilitating payment for completed gigs to the contractors, participation in the community, the ability to purchase premium services, the ability to open a Reputation vault, and access to escrow accounts in the network. Talao tokens serve the utility purpose of being the only protocol-compliant way to determine, describe, and process payments for freelanced talent work on the Talao platform. Talao contribution to the blockchain ecosystem is by providing a new blockchain based market place for freelance and gig workers.
