About Ethereum Plus
Ethereum Plus is an Ethereum-based blockchain application that claims to extend Ethereum’s capabilities so as to make it easier for the average investor to create and utilize smart contracts, by providing useful tools such as pre-developed smart contracts designed for specialized roles. Ethereum Plus aims to streamline the deployment of Ethereum smart contracts among investors, making them more readily accessible for a broad range of applications. The project’s primary innovation is a collection of built-in templates – Ethereum Plus Smart Contracts – which are designed to be used in a plug-and-play manner by investors and companies conducting a transaction. This will eliminate the need for blockchain and programming know-how and facilitate the integration of smart contracts into mainstream corporate culture.
Ethereum Plus will release ten million tokens at a rate of $5 per token, so it is assumed that the company is attempting to raise $50 million through its token sale. Presumably, token holders will be able to conduct transactions and invest using ETHPs, but the actual token functionality is unclear (it seems like ETHP tokens will simply be a cryptocurrency issued on the Ethereum blockchain). The Ethereum Plus whitepaper and website feature awkward, vague descriptions of the claim to provide plug-and-play smart contracts, but do not provide any details, technical or otherwise. The company plans to release an alpha-version of its system in August 2018, asset distribution in August 2019, and an advanced system in August 2020, but there is no real development timeline. After the launch, the company plans to venture into investments in agriculture, livestock and other segments.
The main people behind Ethereum Plus are Ramaswamy Raja (previously ECN trading manager at ForexTime) and Sai Teja (also CEO of chakravuyha, an unclear venture with just one other team member), who seem to also be the founders of Livecoin Capital. Other team members include CTO Siva Narayana (previously senior software engineer at Cognizant), support and community manager Naveen Kumar, and escrow officer Shyamala Raja. The team members appear to be based in the Bengaluru area in India, although the company may be registered in Dubai.
